| On a beautiful island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean there's a place called Hanalei Bay, Kauai, Hawaii and thats where our story begins..... |
For years we have been gathering at this beautiful piece of paradise with all our
family and friends to Barbecue, throw horseshoes and of course fish. Our kids
grew up in this very spot swimming, paddling canoe and fishing.
A few of us got to talking one day, while we were doing what we do best..eating.
Our friends said "Hey you guys should try selling your sauce". My husband just
looked at us and said "yeah right". We started making this sauce as a dipping
sauce for sashimi, then before we knew it we were dipping our steak, chicken and
pork in it. We all agreed it might just work. My husband gave me the job of trying
to make this work.
After doing a lot of research, (never realized how much work is involved) and
getting everything the way we wanted it, the finished product came alive. I
remember the day the labels arrived. I put the label on the jar, made some sauce
and took it down to the beach to show everyone and that was when we got the
"seal of approval".
Along with family, friends, our sauce has been shared with visitors from all over
the world and the question has always been how can I buy it? Well now they can
